use the 2 sets of similar triangles due to parallel lines
corres. sides in same ratio-GH/DE=GF/DF CB/DE=AB/AE

AB*GH=CB*AE*GF*DE/DE*DF=CB*GF as DE cancels out and AE=DF
FG^2=CB*FG as FG=CB

hopefully this is clear enough
