need working out too plz thx

----

A machine labels 180 labels per minute.

(i) How many bottles will it label in 4 hours?
(ii) How many hours and minutes will it take to label 1000 bottles?

----

The length and breadth of a rectangle were measured to be 25 cm and 18 cm respectively.

(i) Calculate the area using the given measurements.
(ii) Find the lower limit of the area.
(iii) Find the upper limit of the area.
(iv) Calculate the maximum possible error.

i lack a calculatron.

A machine labels 180 labels per minute.

(i) How many bottles will it label in 4 hours? 180 labels*60 min*4 hrs
(ii) How many hours and minutes will it take to label 1000 bottles?
(1000/180) <-- minutes per label, divide by 60 to get in hrs, change it to DMS (degrees, minutes, seconds)

The length and breadth of a rectangle were measured to be 25 cm and 18 cm respectively.

(i) Calculate the area using the given measurements. 25*18

no idea what the rest means.

hope that helps.

i) area=lxb
=25 x 18
=450cm squared
ii) upper limit = precision (smallest unit, in this case 1cm) halved
= 0.5 cm
therefore upper limit is 0.5cm above measurement - 450.5cm squared

iii) lower limit - as above but lower than the measurement = 449.5cm squared

i forget maximum possible error...but i think the rest is right...
