Ah unlucky!

Its all good. I suppose your car is in your name, not your parents?
Well at least you will value your licence much much more when you get it back.
Lol its not really unlucky... I was speeding so i do deserve it.
Car is in my parents name and they already said they might take the points for me... except i would feel really guilty if that happened so i think I will take them. Life without a car for 3 months isn't that bad coz i don't drive much anyways

Thanks for your help guys

If its a camera with piezo strips in the road rather than radar it doesnt matter what direction you're going. Easy way to tell if it got you, did it flash?

Since the new laws, some 10% of red P platers have lost their licence.

You need to be really fekking careful for that year. Obviously, more careful than you were.

There were no strips in the road and i didn't see a flash...
I've already learnt my lesson. I make sure i go 35km max through every school zone.

In response to others above,
I haven't received a notice coz it only happened on tuesday.
I can't actually be sure that i was going 50km... I may have been going 30 or 40 or 45 because i only realised i was speeding when i got to the "end of school zone" sign and realised i was going 55km. And i had been stopped at traffic lights just before the camera so i might get lucky...

Thanks for everyones help.

You can't see the strips obviously, it will look like a few rectangles where the road has been cut but it's still flat.

I wasn't quite sure.
But as he felt that he was going to lose his licence for 3 months. I presumed that he had recieved the notice.

yahh, and sometimes you might even be able to feel going over them, depending on your cars suspension

I bet the same figure would appear if they applied the same laws to other license classes.
