My first English Adv year 12 assignment and its a speech. Im kinda struggling on as to how im meant to start it. The question is 'Discoveries have immense power to transform' 'How significant is this idea, as explored in your prescribed text (Robert Gray poems) and ONE other related text of your own choosing'

I would suggest starting off with a quote that relates to the question, as well as the poems.

Additionally, you could ask a rhetorical question. After that, bring in your supporting discovery thesis statement and do not forget - eye contact and hand gestures.
