help with simple q (1 Viewer)

When a question says leave your answer to the nearest millimetre (but the info provided by the q are all in centimetres), should my answer be expressed as millmetres (e.g. 34mm) or should it be (3.4cm to the nearest millmetre)?

When i was doing a past paper, i converted to millmetres and answer was still in cm but with 1 decimal place (e.g. to nearest millmetre :/)

Well that's quite silly. It's like for monetary answers, you can write things like "$55.65 (nearest cent)", no need to convert everything to cents.

Okay just went through some past papers. I eadily found another one like what i said. Gosford 2011 last question (part 3) "give your ans to the nearest mm" and question had the units as cm. The answer is "46.8cm"
