HELP with understanding units and the set up of a degree (1 Viewer)

Hi guys.

So far I've followed -may-cat-'s (excellent) guide up to step 2: I've accepted my offer, submitted my HECs form and have booked in the various advisory/enrolment days for late in feb. I intend to follow mycats suggestion on completing the proposed program of study and time table forms before my booked enrolment date.However, I've found that I am 100% dumbfounded as to how one is supposed to go about it.

I am doing a BA with a Dip Ed. I want to major in Modern History. I want to end up as a HISE/Humanities teacher.

I'm confused... I need 93 credit points as a prerequisite for completion of the degree. When I click under the MHIS section I am greeted with a host of MH topics. Are these topics Units? If so, then each 'topic' i've seen so far is only 3 credit points, how is that enough for, over 4 years, 93 points? Also on the propsed program of study form do I need to indicate a minor? When do I choose electives?

Sorry... this is probs just word vomit but i have tons of questions. Your help would be appreciated.

Yes, all of the linked codes are units. Think of units like subjects at school.

The normal student study load is four units (12 credit points) per semester. So 24 credit points a year over 4 years = 96 credit points.

Also on the propsed program of study form do I need to indicate a minor?

Nope

When do I choose electives?

Whenever you want really. It's not as if you choose them all and formally declare them at a given point, you just choose them as you go.

Ok check out the educ site and go download their student guides. To be accredited you need to follow those guides to a tee if you want to become a teacher.
