consider the graph of y=x^3-mx^2+3x

For what values of m will the graph have two distinct stationary point?

andd does d/dx(3x-1)^6 just mean find the first deriv of (3x-1)^6?

Thanks in advance.

for the first one, do the first derivative let it equal zero. you will have a quadratic, then solve the disriminate so it's real, but not equal to zero(when its equal to zero is should have the same solution twice, like (X-3)^2 ....X=3,3 THESE ARE NOT DISTINCT. ) so solve when disriminate>0 you should get a range of values for m

second question, yes just differentiate
