ok guys here's the story, my schools ranked within the top 40
however i haven't been performing to well over the past 3 assessments
with only trials left.
my subjects are as follows

Standard English - consistent
Mathematics (2U) - back on track, didnt do to well 1st & 2nd assess
Mathematics Extension 1 - FAIL
Ancient History - consistent
History Extension - consistent
Physics - FAIL FAIL FAIL

roughly speaking most of my trials are worth 35-40%
would it be possible for me to drag myself up if i absolutely kill trials for physics & 3U
and would an ATAR of 86 be achievable

Should've listened to your teachers when they told you "be careful with 10 units".

Also what's a "fail" to you? 30%? 85%? If you manage to get above 83 for all your subjects as your HSC mark, you'll do fine. (Internal + HSC exam)

fail as in physics averaging 50-60% and 3U around there as well
idk if these 3 units are gonna kill my hsc overall

your school is ranked within top 40 dude. 50-60% in those tests isn't as bad as getting that in say a school ranked 200.

You'll get 80+.
