High School Engineering VS Uni Engineering (1 Viewer)

Hi everyone !

I'm juse wondering is high school engineering like uni engineering? I find high school engineering super boring, and just wondering is uni engineering better, similar or worst?

There are similarities and differences - the fundamental mathematical concepts are definitely covered in uni, whereas the history isn't really covered. But what you do in 2 years is covered in about one semester (depends which subjects you choose).

There's definitely more that is covered in uni and concepts that go far beyond HSC engineering studies. The two can't be greatly compared since high covers less than the tip of the iceberg.

But even uni engineering is different to what you do in the workplace. You won't be asked to laboriously hand calculate many things as computers will do them for you. Some things yes, but many things computer simulations can do for you.

I should note that HSC Physics is almost completely irrelevant to uni engineering (not only UNSW, but others as well).
