u r wrong

the highest UAI at a non selective school was 100 it was at trinity grammar school which is a private school for boys

what do u say to that.

correct me if i'm wrong, but many private schools also have an element of selection involved...they don't let everyone in...

but "being good" doesn't mean your going to get a good uai, you could be "bad" and go really well (see 90+ potheds thread heh)

errr...i was actually arguing the fact that private schools can't be referred to as "non-selective", when in fact they have their own selection processes....and of course "being good" doesn't translate to a high uai....not my point

at my skool this dude got 98.75 at a catholic non selective skool
there were onli a few ppl over 90 but

haha go him!! he's my bf...lovely guy. and u know what, he's 16 turning 17 in june. so yeah, a bit scary, lol. as for the debate about private schools: they're usually price selective, but my bf was on a scholarship. as one might expect.

Hmm, weird how people say non-selective schools did bad.

Our school cherrybrook tech got our highest as being 100 uai, not to mention he was our school captain, which makes it even harder. Looks like our public schools are gonna start beating selectives.

Um.
Somehow I don't think so.
Having one bright student who flukishly failed the selective school test completely doesn't qualify.
Isn't cherrybrook a specialist school anyhow?

one 100 at our school, private, no selective, that guy was a real geek

there were also a dozen with 99+

PS our school usually doesnt do that well, most of them fluked it :( i wish i can fluke it this year

99.45 was Dux. Next was 99.3 then a few who just got in the 90s.
Catholic school (non-selective)
