Hey guys, for my major I'm particularly interested in the area of Native American history. However, Im finding it a bit difficult to find any books on the topic in bookstores and libraries around me. I was hoping that somebody here might be able to help in a few things:
-Narrow down the topic in potential focus questions (would it be easier to focus on a specific tribe/personality and and their significance/involvement/treatment in wars/conflict between settlers or to be general)
-Find good historians/histories (books, films, docos) I think to be searching for specific histories would be easier when browsing libraries or stores. Also, different historians favourable (eg. Native American, white American, foreign - different perspectives/bias/context)
Also does anyone know of a university professor/scholar in Aus (pref. NSW) specialising in this area to get some help with the project.
I'm also interested in Indigenous peoples of other countries (eg. Aztecs, Incas, Mayan, Amazonian, Hawaiian/Pacific, Canadian/Alaskan eskimo) if anyone knows more about these

I know this is a very obscure topic in history, especially in Australia, but any advice is greatly appreciated.
Thanks heaps:)
