Hey all
In class my teacher said it would be fine to use other related texts that are not related to the event that we are doing(which is 9/11)
yet in the syllabus it says"Students are also required to supplement this study with texts of their own choosing which rovide a variety of representations of that event, personality or situation"
Does this not explicitly ask jus to use other related texts about the same event?

From what you have just said there it sounds like you should try and get it to relate to 9/11 but I don't think it would be essential. I've got Denise Levertov poetry which most of it is about the Vietnam War but then there is just some other random stuff there too. My selected texts to go with it are Only 19 by Redgum (song) and Going Solo by Roald Dahl (book).

Are you able to link your selected texts to the 9/11 thing? Cause if you can I don't see why you would have any problem whatsoever.
