So I just want to know when studying should you listen to music? If yes, what type of music?

Listening to music general distracts people as you tend to listen to the lyrics and this puts you off studying.

For others, it may work, and completely takes your mind off things and you can concentrate. Try classical long concertos or orchestral pieces. They don't stop and start as much so you get a constant rhythm. Experimentation is the key.
