What about heterosexual couples that don't bear children?
From an Iron point of you the chuch calls out contraception as immoral as well so either they aren't succombing to lust and having meaningless sex or their running the risk atleast up until a certain age.

Its Biologically unnatural. But i have nothing against Gay people, everyone has the right to do whatever they want with their bodies.

Frankly i'm not for supporting Gay lifestyle, but i'm also not against them, if that makes any sense?

I do think its unfair they dont have equal rights and all though.

Uhm. Gut reaction is no. I suspect because it would be tantamount to admitting that there is something wrong, or "sick", with me. (Shut up Iron).
I would consider taking it simply because being gay is difficult and doesn't really have any plus sides to it. The difficulty in finding a partner and the stigma attached to it alone make it problematic for me, especially because there's usually a 'oh, you're gay?' reaction from people I've worked with/known for a while.

Then again, the repertoire of one's jokes is better if you're a pillow biter...

Tell that to the giraffe. 90% of the sexual acts performed by giraffes are homosexual in nature.

Yeah, not biologically unnatural, especially not in humans.

Yeah, I kind of agree that there are no upsides to it. But thinking of taking such a pill makes me :(

I don't know. I really have no logical justification for not taking it - apart from finding it difficult to imagine not being gay. And what I said before.

We hold that contraception is an unnatural suppression of the life that God ordains. It also leads to a cheapening of the supreme act to the point where it's seen as normal to have several casual sex partners over a lifetime.

In terms of infertility, it is a tragedy ofc, but not a fatal one. Medical science can be harnessed ethically to cure persons of such things. If it cant be cured, then it is no less a natural union with God's full support. They can have plenty sex because it is still an act open to the potential of life - like when crusty old Sarah was told by God that she would have a child; she laughed at the thought, but it came to pass. And what did she call the babby? Isaac, which means laughter. The laughter of cynicism turned to the laughter of joy; a beautiful summation of belief.

Grow up! Right wing conservatism, when stacked upon more right wing conservatism, sprinkled with a dash of ritual, and laced with xenophobia can be a recipe for nothing but stagnation!

Your head is in the clouds!
Take your mind off heaven for a moment, and think about the human race!
How on earth are we meant to progress as people, and as a society if we are so afraid of change and the new that we abandon all reason, humanity and compassion?
Even animals are capable of discrimination, but they, at the very least have a reason to it. You can't admit to your reasons.
Face it. It's not about gods laws (or the perversion of them that is the king James bible), what is it with people and fear, why can't they just say it?

WE SCARE YOU.

I HATE GAYS and I will KILL THEM ALL ONE DAY. BEWARE. I will not be friends with any gay, I'm not discriminative, but I believe they are gay, if they admit they are mental I will be friends with them, otherwise they should beware because if I have the chance I will do it.

Homosexuals scare us????
no not at all, why would i be friends with people that scare me? that is a very silly thing to do indeed.

Homosexuality is ultimately a sin, i do not have anything against them as people, i just don't approve of there lifestyle.

It is a shame to see such a destructive sin becoming so acceptable in todays society.

How is homosexuality destructive?

And also, why is loving everybody and being more accepting of everyone a bad thing? Doesn't Christianity promote love and peace?

This debate is utterly pointless...

Inherently, people are designed to seek pleasure, everyone does, in their own way. Some of this pleasure is derived from sexual activites, so it is pointless to try and discriminate against people on the basis of what they enjoy and what brings them pleasure.

Iron might like to smoke joints in his past time (unlikely) and I might think all drugs are bad, but I won't discriminate against him just because he enjoys it.

It is a union that is not life giving. In all that we do in life, we should always be asking ourselves whether it is life giving. The way that homosexual marriage threatens to undermine the unique institution of marriage as the building block of society is also highly alarming. Heterosexual marriage is not just one relationship relative to any other - it is the highest form of relationship between humans on earth. Homosexuality is clearly destructive to the whole human race, to the notion of obligation to eachother, to life itself.

Christians have no problem accepting homosexual people as valid human beings. We may even say that a homosexual relationship outside of the church is one that shouldnt be targeted and destroyed by church and state, because they are made of humans created in God's image and therefore bestowed with His divine dignity too. However we must continue to state our case about the harm of such a relationship and the damage it does to the broader community. This is difficult, if not impossible, in a culture of such individualism which accepts virtually no personal responsibility for any broad social problems and takes no advice from anything but its own underdeveloped internal mechanisms
