OKOK here's the deal...i kno this because i did 2 subjects 4 tha hsc last year. You get on the honour roll in the paper tomorrow if you get an HSC mark over 90 in any course. You get distinguished acheiver (all rounder) if 10 of ur units were band 6 or equivalent (eg E4) and u get the premier's award if u top the state in a particular subject. The ranks of school are also released tomorrow in the SMH. If you did a subject last year you wont get in the paper for it again this year, even tho it counts for ur uai

hope that cleared it up...get the Sydney morning herald tomorrow

10 unit of Band 6 or more = Premier's Award at Darling Habour
10 units of HSC marks of 93 or more (in 2003) = money (i think it's about $2000).

English Band 6 required?

When you say Band 6 in 10 units to meet Bob, does it have to include band 6 in 2U English, or can you still get it if you have 12U and ace everything except Eng?

The allrounders get an award, not just first in course.

I got one last year. And yes, it takes FOREVER!

No, it exists. Lazarus said so, therefore it must be true. :uhhuh:

The $2000 cash bonus is associated with the Australian Students Prize (ASP).

http://www.dest.gov.au/schools/programmes/ASP.htm

It's given to the "top" 500 students in Australia. It is typically awarded first to the Olympiad winners and then to the residual HSC/VCE/etc top performers. For the 2002 HSC, it went to anyone who scored 93+ in 10 or more courses.
