I totally disagree - he may not have a history of "shoulder charge" incidents but he has a history of behavioural misconduct - like i said as if the "fingering" incident isnt enough proof! this is a case of total misconduct! This player has a history of such unclean hits and other behavioural issues. If he didnt have such a history of misconduct then yeh sure treat it like anyone else - but for someone who has dealt in so much misconduct it was about time that they laid down proper consequences for it!
The tribunal treated the case in this subjective way - taking notoriety into account.
(I'm sounding like Hoppa's guardian angel, lol)
Oh and no, like i said, he had no history of 'such unclean hits'.
Lol this is such a vicious cycle - we will just keep going around and around in a circle arguing our opinions. About this "subjectivity" you talk of - dont you think it is more than deserved - he may not have made 'unclean hits' but the bottom line is his behavioural problems undermine all that anyway - the point that he has had such a history makes it in itself, an unclean hit
that's what i don't agree with.
But eh, whichever way, he was skating on thin ice, and was probably always gonna be sacked. I just thought the severity of the suspension fit the person, but not the crime.
