i translated Dulce et Decorum Est, so to say that owen disagreed with the notion that it was a right and proper way to die for ones country. basicly just went on about how he hated war

well i first analysed what the fuck those last 4 lines meant..

first line refers to the government (sarcasm) + proper ganda
" desperate glory " how it was viewed ie war
the old lie " dulce est decournm est how it sweet and honrouable to die for one country.

referd to 3 poems + about 3-4 techniques each poem 2 booklets xD

owens poetry uses various poetic techniques and focus on various parts of the war, however, his writing was 4 one specific purpose, repudiating war and this is manifested in a number of ways. the extract shows this as he is telling the warmongers to witness such a death on the battlefield for themselves before daring to continue propagating the lie. The next war shows how owens poetry looks beyond the war and how their is hope for the future. anthem for doomed youth contrasts the funeral rites 4 a civilian in comparison to a soldier who dies on a battlefield. Dulce Et Decorum Est is a polemic against warmongers and their use of horaces martial and patriotic maxim D.E.D.E. Essentially the ideas conveyed are unique in their own way however all focus on repudiating war and how futile the war is
