had my first assessment and got a 14/25. it was assessed on the main doc points of sparta notes and my notes were reasonably done well. very depressed about it, i think I'm at the bottom of my cohort.

i just don't understand how to write the answers. we were assessed on a 5,8 and 12 marker and for the 5 marker i didn't provide enough "detail" (

Often it will help to look at the marking criteria.

Couple of possibilities:

1. Not enough references to primary and secondary sources were include. Generally about 5-6 per an essay
2. You didn't know how to structure a response to an essay question or particular dot point. What arguments are you going to use for the question?

It may help to take a look at some sample responses to HSC questions
