I'm a first year doing Com/Eco and planning to transfer to Com/Law in the second year.

Two quick questions:
1. Basically I'm currently doing 4 of the compulsory courses, does that mean I will be doing the other 5 in semester 2? (There are 9 compulsory courses in total). What about the flexible core courses?
2. Say we're supposed to do the flexible core courses in semester 2, any of them I should/should not do as I might successfully transfer to combined law next year? So far I'm thinking Business Finance, Business and the Law and Marketing Fundamentals.

Cheers!

I'm looking at doing something similar but from straight commerce...

1. Most full time students only do four subjects per semester.
2. Go to the handbook and pick the subjects which are commerce flexible core subjects, so they'll get compulsory subjects from your commerce requirements out of the way.

If you plan to transfer to Com/Law only do the courses that are recognised under the Commerce degree. Otherwise you waste subjects

So are we doing flexible core or compulsory courses next semester? Or perhaps a combination of two?

I was reading through the handbook and there're only 4 compulsory courses under the Commerce degree whereas Com/Eco has 9. I'm pretty sure those 4 courses are what I'm currently doing in this semester. The difference between Commerce and Com/Eco is that Com/Eco has 5 more compulsory courses and Commerce has one more flexible core course to choose from - macro - one of the compulsory courses under the Com/Eco degree. Does that now mean I can choose any flexible core courses I like since those 4 compulsory courses will be completed at the end of this semester?
