How do transfers work at ANU? (1 Viewer)

Ok so, I am going to go too UC for the first year or so and see if I do well enough to get into ANU, it was basically a dream uni for me, but I don't think I will get the marks for the university.

So could someone tell me how the transfers work? Because I am very keen on transferring too ANU after my second year.

EDIT: I am also doing a Bachelor of Information technology/Bachelor of Commerce if I get into UC, if that helps anyone

As far as I know, you apply via UAC, then if you're accepted you withdraw from your old uni and apply for status based on your existing studies.

As to whether they'll admit you or not, they will still take your ATAR into consideration but your first year results will have more weighting. If you fail courses at uni, you could actually end up with a lower rank than your original ATAR, so beware.
