Ask your teacher, they'll almost certainly recommend you like 483743 historians to look into (and further reading is good to help your understanding of the topic anyway, not just to get quotes. :) )

Read widely and understand what the historian is saying.

Quotes per se aren't necessary. What is necessary is an understanding of the argument of the historian. All quotes show is an ability to memorise quotes (K. Webb) but being able to actually use the argument/ideas of the historian is a way more impressive way to write Modern History.

This. Historical view points are important, but dont obsess over memorising hundreds of quotes. Remember, an understanding of varying historical viewpoints is what the markers are looking for, not the quotes per se.

Nothing beats books off a library shelf! Look up/ask your teacher about the more prominent historians for your topics and then read their books! Look how different historians have different ideological views on your historical area. Also, just by reading a historian's perspective, you develop many ideas and themes for arguments in an essay! Above all, enoilgram is right! Understanding a historian's perspective/idea is much more important than the quote itself! Often you can just write for e.g. Historian ____ argues that _________. You don't have to quote!
