For Sydney Uni, you can't go directly from yr. 12 because the course is post graduate. You have to have done a degree at uni, done the GAMSAT test and done an interview to be considered for admission.

However, you can get into interstate universities from yr.12.

It's often good to do a program postgraduate like this...

In many undergraduate courses, there is a very tight first year where you can get kicked out at the end pretty easily. You stress a lot and do a lot of work and have to do it at the same time as getting used to uni.

The Graduate Medical Programme at Sydney Uni allows you:

1) To have already a degree, which gives you insight into uni before going into med, and also inspiration in other areas & therefore more options afterwards
2) Time to decide whether it really is for you before stressing about it
3) First year GMP not kicking anyone out
4) A shorter course on the medical area meaning it depends a lot on you, but you can handle that by that stage
