hey how do u study for an english exam on the area of study the journey?
does anyone know?

Practice essays. Lots of them.
Also memorize visual/prose/poetic techniques and their effects on the audience.

Come up with them yourself. Most exam questions usually contain some form of subquestion about how a text is constructed.

Make sure you know quotes and techniques from the your core and related texts.
Practise answering question/ writing essays under exam time limits.
Also look at the type of questions that are in past papers and practice answering those. Some questions may ask you to comment effectiveness or analyse "how" be sure that you can do these type of questions well and with ease.

Well, honestly who can be bothered to write a few essays and make up questions for themselves???

Well i cant.

But generally it is obvious what the question will be about. I think that the body of the essay can be premade because it will obviously be about techniques.

The introduction can be made prehand BUT u MUST incorporate the question given to you, therefore the introduction is partially made during ur exam.

it just got a little repetitious coz the same concepts kept popping up over and over again but i guessed it helped us understand them more

know your texts inside out (the lot, plot, themes, techniques etc), know how to write an essay and have some ideas sorted for a short-story (if you have to write one)
