So, I have decided to do extension history, however...
I am very confused on what exactly you are supposed to do for the major work...
Any tips? Guides? What exactly am I meant to do?

I did History Extension back in 2013, though I don't remember all too much - I remember that the major work is meant to be self lead.

Here's a link to the support doc for the subject (hopefully this is current) but it tells you the process i.e development and proposal, writing of the essay and other substantial requirements.

General tip, start early and think about what you want to research and write about. Gather your resources, keep a reference list as you go so you don't struggle in your bibliography, read academic journals, talk to your teacher - it might help discussing what you want to research/write about and provide you clarity and focus.
