How hard for me to get ATAR of 88 (1 Viewer)

School ranking : 213

i asked staff at UNSW open day, he said as i am an international student the cut-off for next year is already out
for engineering will be 88, so if i can it 88 i will be 100% can get to the course

seeing your school ranking, pretty difficult. You will need to totally destroy the hsc.

I highly doubt 82 MAX. he is ranked near the top for most his subjects and I doubt everyone in his school is intellectually challenged.
You should be able to get 88+ with ease! if you keep up your work. what were your trial marks though?

This, my guess would be that at the moment, you are probably looking at 92-95.

5/18 for ESL means that there's lots of international students right? And stereotypically most of them are good and maths/sciences. And considering you're coming at the top for them means you should be able to get your desired ATAR score :)

Chem (independent paper) 94/100
Physics (independent paper) 90/100 ,, 2nd got 77
Math ext1 50/70 , 71% (it was hard paper)
Math ext2 73/100
ESL 88/100

So for petroleum engineering, you need 88 not 92? :S

oh yeah, coz i'm an international student, we have different cut off. and said i will get the offer 1 day after i got an ATAR (21/12/2012)

@OP

You do realize you get bonus points for getting bands 5/6's in certain subjects right? That will help you get in your course.

Nah, i just drop after civil/transport topic coz i have no interested on aeronautical and lifting device stuff
