How hard is it to achieve a high band 6 (approx 97%+) in Advanced English

So far, my first assessment term mark was: 29/30
and last year's mark were in the 17-20/20 range??

band 6 is pretty hard man

no social life

study for like 6 hours a night

It's not the hours your studing, but whether you are studying with an aim or goal, and are concentrating on the content, absorbing information.. Long hours of studying do not necessarily equate to a high band, i.e. band 6 in the HSC!!

Awesome! I shall work hard and fulfill this endeavour I'm actually aiming 98% and 96% for Extension 1 and 2 English too! Lets see what happens! I'll just continue working hard!!

Btw, what marks will I need to achieve in order to attain a 98% in Advanced English and 96% in Extension1 and 2?
Is 29/30 and 17-20/20 enough? Or do I have to achieve 100% consistently?

autismsuperstar, has harsh as he/she is, does have a basis of truth in their posts. You can't get a band 6 without some effort. And some people will get a Band 6 with a lot less effort than others. That's just life.

And some people, no matter how much effort they put in will never achieve even a Band 5 let alone a Band 6.

Depends on the person - I rarely ever studied for 2U and MX1 and got 94 and 46 respectively.
