you know, the time where everything is great before you start to get sick of each other.

No standard answer.

I read somewhere that on average it's around 6 months

But it could range from that to 1yr, to 2yrs, to never.

My friend is getting sick of his gf after 3 months.

I never got sick of my ex, but got sick of me after 2yrs and yeah =S

It increases with age

ie a 15 year olds going out for a year = 25 year olds going out for 5 years

same with honeymoon period

Most people say 6 months, considering 6 months is the average time little relationships last, but it varies from person to person.

And it's not about being "sick" of each other. The end of the honeymoon period is the time when you no longer get outrageous butterflies at the thought of your partner, or think about them all day long, etc. You're a bit more settled about it. Of course, from time to time you'll get some butterflies after the honeymoon period, but not as young and pure and intense as before.

I think my "honeymoon period" is typically pretty short... Not that I'm sick of my boyfriend or anything lol.. I just get over the whole butterflies, obsessive part quicker than most... in 3-4 months id say. But i like it that way. I like it better once the reality of the relationship has set in. That's probably unusual... I dunno.

going by my friends. 6-8 months.

at most a year. haha alot of my friends were aware of this 'rule' and tried to fight it, seems like you can't fight it. even if your deeply 'in love' with them.

I've been told that the honeymoon period is up till 4 months...after that, if it's still going, then you still got it!

I have noticed that a lot of couples question their relationship at the 4 month mark

I remember hearing somewhere that your pheromones settle after about 3 months.

...depends what you mean by honeymoon period really? i think mine is over but i'm certainly not sick of him. we are still going strong after 3.5 yrs and there have been periods where it could have been over but thats a 5 second thought in the grand scheme of things.

The 'honeymoon period' you are talking about i think lasts about 3 months...from then on the relationship stops being a novelty and starts to be something a bit more serious if you choose to continue with it.... dont know if that makes sense
