the reason why making a more summarised version of your set of notes helps.
it depends, summaries don't work well for me because I need detail to fully understand my notes. If summaries help, then use a summary. But everyone's different, so there isn't a concrete 'right' or 'wrong' with writing notes. they're your own notes, so it's best to individualise them to your preferences.

should you make notes for maths or is it just questions and more questions?

What I'm planning to do is: write out a detailed set of notes (hopefully finish them these holidays), and when trials are closer, write out VERY EXTREMELY summarised notes to refer to.

Do you think so? I'm doping notes for physics - and taking SO SO MUCH longer than I thought. I'm even considering using someone else's notes, something which I never do, because I can't be sure of quality :L

YES i agree with you so much about taking so much longer. well personally i use like 3-4 sets of at b6/state ranking notes and use them to make my own so as for quality its good for sure. if you do use someone else's notes, make sure you cross reference with other sets as incorrect/lack of information can screw you over :L

yes, at the selling thread @ the sub-forum hsc textbooks and notes, you can purchase b6/state ranking notes there. alternatively there are many great notes here available for free. i noticed u do phys and chem and you can take a look at the phys+chem hsc guide for phys/chem,andrew harvey notes, daniel wilson notes. i believe they both made phys and chem notes

My notes for the first topic of Economics "The Global Economy" alone is 51 pages. Now writing notes on second topic, beauty of HSIE subjects is you can always work ahead. All you need is the syllabus and textbook by your side :)

Ooh, I do Eco as well. I am currently tweaking/adding to my notes. Wanna trade? I would like to have some reference notes, as I assume you would too. PM me?

Sorry, not intending to trade. Made these notes from scratch without the use of any other notes. I guess it marks the amount of work I've done and is something I can reflect on at the end of the HSC based on my mark I receive :)
