My 3 paragraphs are 270-300 words long, total essay length is about 1000 words which is the recommended length if ur trying to get as much marks as possible. I can write it all in just under 45 minutes albeit handwriting is a bit messy

It depends how many you are writting. I reckon you could just get away with 3 x 270. It'll be a bit short but if you address the question heaps and have a good intro it should be fine

What if they ask about a specific poem like they did in 2019? Wouldn't it make sense for t.s eliot-ers to have PREPARED 5 then? I have 4, hoping they won't ask Prelude.

i personally disagree. Obviously its not always the case, but to fit 5 / 4 poems in an essay, your paragraphs are going to be pretty short unless you can write heaps in 40 mins. 4 would be fine i assume, but i think 5 would mean u dont have enough depth.

i left out hollow men with the hopes that they wont prescribe the same poem. so i should have a 3/4 chance. (PLS NO RHAPSODY)

I think that its good to have quotes from every poem; not just in the terrible case the specify one but some poems work way better than others for certain questions! Definitely prepare The Hollow Men; you can talk about spirituality/alienation/destruction of western culture/ennui and be ready for any question. Prufrock is also great because it's so easy to understand (not like Rhapsody I HATE Rhapsody) and it works great if we get a form question. Magi is good to know since it's so different from the rest of his suite because of the religious context. My trial paper specified Preludes and I did NOT prepare that so learn from me and just try to get as many quotes from everywhere.

memorise quotes and some analysis and sub them into one of your paragraphs already and change a bit up - preludes fits urban landscape, alienation, wandering flaneur so you can swap it out pretty easily
make sure you have magi tho bc its so different to the others
ive got a 3 para essay (preludes, prufrock, magi) an additional paragraph (hollow men) and im practising winging it under time with rhapsody in case
i think itd be really cruel to specify rhapsody as from what ive seen everyone struggles with it more

i hope hope hope that you are right
lookat the past few hscs they havent specified anything... if they do im sure they wont do both preludes and rapsody, i know abit about rapsody abotu some nife turn and cyclical stuff, if they do specify a poem they have an extract ill litterally do comp from that (sacking mod b btw)
