three classes in my school
dominated by girls
45 students do it all up.
and i do think S&C is perceived as a girls' subject.
my class has 3 boys and 15 girls.
the top 10 in the state last year - i think 9 were girls...

we have about 5 or so boys in our class of about 20 or so... and i agree with the thought that it is more an interested in the subject and future career rather than a gender bias class.

in my class in year 11, we had 16 people - only 2 of them were boys.
then 2 girls changed subjects almost straight away, but then one came in2 the class, bringing total to 15. then 3 girls left the school - there were now 12 in the class. then this year one of the boys and one of the girls dropped it, and one girls dropped out of school all together. that leftt 9.
that left 8 girls and one boy. yea, i think its a girly subject :p

Wow, I definitely hadn't even considered Society & Culture to be a female-dominated subject before. Quite obviously it is...

My class has seven boys and twelve girls, which is a relatively even split, as far as I'm concerned. And the top mark went to a guy, and a guy and a girl tied for 2nd on the prelim exam.

Also, everyone in my school kept it and loves it - not one person dropped the subjet. We have an excellent teacher, however, and we don't use a textbook. I haven't decided if that's a pro or a con (though my back says 'pro' :p).

I guess we're just special...

Our year 11 class had 12 girls and 11 boys - the nearest even class my school has ever had. The year before us only consisted of girls so our year was quite a record. Alot of boys, including myself have now dropped the class at the end of year 11. I dropped so i didnt have to do the pip :D, otherwise i may have considered staying if it was a part of the course
