I finished my HSC now, I was wondering how many hours in a week is a solid amount, I was thinking maybe 10 hours a week. (I'm looking for casual/part-time work, 1st job )

~studies~ have suggested that 10 hr/week is the max uni students should do before it starts to impact their uni work negatively.

but if it's the holidays and you want to earn a bit more, maybe get some savings happening, go for more.

What Blue Suede said.

Remember that the average work day is ~8 hours, a ("normal") solid week's work is 38 hours.

Well with no school you work full time if you wanted. Personally I am doing a bit more than the part time you'd do during school/uni but still part time.

But my work is all nighttime-so the trade off is my body clock haha This week for instance I'm working Fri/Sat/Sun night.

wot?

I do ~12 and that's just because I'm too lazy, don't need the extra money and prefer to spend my time playing video games. 20 hours would be easy if you really wanted it.

This.

Try to get a full time job (38 hours a week typically). If you go to uni next year then you may be able to reduce working hours to part time etc if you show you are a good worker.

25hrs? I think you should do more than 10hrs since it's holidays, and you would wanna save up for when you start uni
