i didnt want u guys to work it out - that was just an example of what i meant by locus questions. i still think complex numbers is hard...
π = ∑ [ 2(-1)k31/2 - k]/[2k+1] from zero to ∞madmanjd said:KFunk, while ur at it, and i actually wanna know this, tell me - whats the formula for working out the exact value of pi?
take ur time buddy...
if u get this im so rorted........
they have those stats on us?Slide Rule said:Oh, I don't mind it. We're doing our last topic now - mechanics. That's pretty easy. It's the conics and circle geo that is the hardest, IMHO.

lol, funny guy, but ur other way was quicker, loldawso said:nah steele, my way is nice and simple....another one is:
pi = 365.24 sqrt (x + pi - 28)^2 / 365.24 + 254 ^2 / 64516 - 1
where x = 28
this is based on 365.24 being the number of rotations of the earth completed in one solar year, trust me, it works
My teacher has only ever taught the subject once before...but then again there are only two of us in the 4u class...does anyone else have such a small class? it seems that every other school has heaps...cherryblossom said:they have those stats on us?
arrgghh
I wish I had stayed on, but my teacher has the experience of a maggot and after having to learn ext 1 last year by myself I just wasn't up to it.
