10 periods are day including 40 minutes of lunch.
However, the first period only lasts 20 minutes.
And our school organised our timetables so that Yr 12s only go to school from Tuesday to Friday..unless you study Ext 2 Mathematics or History Ext 1
A long weekend every weekend :)

8 periods a day except for wednesday (4 periods because of sport). Each period is about 40 mins.

4 periods a day, 80 minutes each. But, we don't get a break after every period... we have
P1-recess(20 min)-P2-P3-Lunch(40min)-P4
Except for Mondays and tuesday's, where period 4 is split into two separate periods (only found this out yesterday, nobody will tell me what the point of it is)

6 = 2,break,2,break,2,break.
of course, not counting the morning classes, afternoon classes, and lunch classes we have to endure....

our school is so wierd. they introduced this new system where seniors have to start school at 7.45am, but if your lucky, you'll finish at 1 on most days.

however, at our school, its normally 4 periods. that is, p1 recess p2 p3 lunch dear p4 home.

but in the senior school we start at 7.45 and it could all end at 4. that is p0, roll call, p1, recess, p2, p3, lunch, p4, p5 if we are unlucky. this unfortunately happens to me once a cycle. however, i start school at the normal 9am on 2 days of the cycle.

we started this system at the start of this year. it is really stressing, and i need to get sleep. i am now really craving for coffe everyday now. they have now probaly created many a coffee addict due to this new system, and if it stays, i will surely be addicted to delcious coffee...mmm...

Strange... we have exactly the same (38 min periods, 20 recess, 40 lunch) 'cept only have 8, and 6 on Tuesdays and 7 on Thursdays. AND, I get 12 free periods a week (admittedly I have a lot of offline classes).

I think you learn more than me. I am not sure whether to complain or celebrate.

My old school used to have 4 periods a day, with a 15 minutes recess and 40 minute lunch. Now there are 6 periods a day.
