There isnt a set amount really. Remember guys, historiography and stats are important, but you cannot get the big marks by simply throwing quotes and stats into your response. The markers are looking for a sustained and logical argument supported by evidence (stats, historiography etc). A sustained and logical argument must be present for a band 6 and this is NOT created by simply regurgitating hundreds of quotes and flashy evidence in the essay. For the national studies, and conflict essays, how many historian's views/quotes and statistics is everyone roughly planned to use??
