It depends on you. You must have arguments for and against for each essay.
For me personally, i'm not very good with remembering exact quotes so i go in with how the historian argues and maybe just a few quotes from each on the topic.

I try to have 1-2 on each dot point for the national study.

In regards to the personality study, I've organised the historians into positve/negative/neutral view.

There isnt a set amount really. Remember guys, historiography and stats are important, but you cannot get the big marks by simply throwing quotes and stats into your response. The markers are looking for a sustained and logical argument supported by evidence (stats, historiography etc). A sustained and logical argument must be present for a band 6 and this is NOT created by simply regurgitating hundreds of quotes and flashy evidence in the essay.

I have completely memorised the entire content, for modern history using historiography here and there, my plan is to answer the question whilst spamming as much content as possible to flood the marker with information that is relevant massive data dump.
It's important to remember to that the facts and figures are used to support your argument rather than be the driving force of it, it basically just justifies your own idiosyncratic paradigm upon the issue.
