I was wondering how many units is required to transfer directly from Macquarie university to UNSW. Each unit i do is worth 3 credit points and I have done 4 units last semester and was wondering if I would have to take 4 again or I could drop 2 and increase my GPA. I read online and the requirement is " one year of full-time study (minimum 0.75 full time equivalent load)" I'm not sure if this means 6 or 8 units. I'd appreciate it thanks.

hello i emailed about them they said at least 6 units "You will be required to complete at least 36 uoc (6 subject) equivalent in your current University program in order to apply to transfer to UNSW. All applications for entry are submitted through UAC. UAC will assess your qualification and will calculate a combination ATAR equivalent using both your HSC results and your current Macquarie Studies. We would advise you to look at achieving a high credit to distinction average in your current studies in order for your application to be competitive for entry. "

i wish you the best of luck as i am wanting to transfer from mq to unsw aswell

So yeah, a 3.5 would be a distinction.

Varies between universities.

A D is 4.0 (a HD is also 4.0) at MQ and a D is 3.5 at UTS.

So whilst a 3.5 GPA is a 'D average GPA' at UTS, it is less clear (in terms of what constitutes a 'D average GPA') for MQ since both a D or HD gets you a 4.0.
