950 for essays since I need to think :p I can write 950 in 30mins for my creative though since it's 100% memorised + includes so many ideas with belonging + opportunities to mould to the question that the only adapting I usually need to do is like 1 line if anything at all.

I seriously dunno how people can get to 1400 though.

in exactly 40 min, I could write around 1,050 words, but in the exam i usually write around 930-950

I wrote faster than most people, and it was about 1250-1300.

But average is 1050.

You have to cut back in other sections for 1400 words. Not a great idea since each Q is worth 15 marks.

950-1050 is my usual. You need time to think, so no wpm estimate is good.

I usually write about 8-9 words per line, 4 pages using about 30 lines of each page.

This turns out to be 960-1080 which sounds about right. I've done 1400 before though. Oh yeah, I'm new Year 12 not HSC.
