Bought mine today from the Co-op bookstore. Ringed up at a low, low $673 for a large number of required books for math (1), bio (2), law (A BAZILLION).

How much do you guys have to spend on textbook purchases this semester?

How come you bought them from co-op? The amount of money you save buying from textbook exchange, book depository etc. can be pretty significant.

Probably $110 for my Commerce textbook, but I'll be avoiding buying it if I can.

Then plays every week and a half for about $20 until the end of session.

Holy sh.. almost $1000 just for one semester, that's INSANE! Why buy new books when you could just get used ones in excellent condition for half the price.

I'm planning to spend around $300 this sem. Really can't afford to go much higher, coz I don't get paid Youth Allowance, which sucks.

I don't think we need to worry about it yet, since I'm told that we'd better buy them after knowing what's actually required after first few lectures.
I'll probably buy them 2nd hand somewhere.

NewiJapper - LAWS1001A and LAWS1003A?

Im probably going to buy my textbooks for those subjects within the next few days.. How many textbooks do we need for them? On the co-op website, it says we need 2 for torts, but the textbooks for 1001A have not been listed.. Just interested to see how much reading Im in for over the next semester haha.
