My eldest son did the HSC in 2008 with the exact same subjects, failed MX2 (pobably got around under 50 raw but got a 75 aligned).
BTW he got (reported/HSC) marks of : Eng A 84/86; MX1 92/92; Chem 91/90 & Bio 88/90 and scored a UAI of 96.40. If you put those figures into the Einstein calculator available now it comes to an ATAR of 97.25 so it is possible.

I went through and thought anywhere between 40-77. Now that I've looked at the solutions I'm thinking around 45. :/
I had an anxiety attack in the middle of the exam and sat there for 30 minutes trying to get my breathing under control. :/

I also couldn't think because I got an hour of sleep the night before because it was boiling hot in my shit house room. Fuck I hate everything. :/
