it depends on how hard the exam is. for eg- we did an exam at the start of yr 12, and my mark of 48% was 'scaled' to 86%. it was a hardish exam at the time...

Yeh, there really is no way to tell how much a 4u test will be scaled since it depends on a number of factors.
The markers decide what raw mark is needed to get a band 6 depending on what the rest of the candidature get along with the difficulty of the test.
I think those are the factors they consider when scaling 4u.

there is no way that 41% was the highest mark.. the highest mark is usually 110+ out of 120. in 1993 someone actually got 100%.

If anyone has the 4u Excel Fast track book they can check.
Its got a page there where it shows the max and minimum scores of each of the HSC examinations.

it will only really benefit you if you actually do well

4u have very nice scaling. if you are in the top 50% of the state, a mark of 90+ will be used to calculate your uai. very nice.

that aint gonna be me, seeming that i only answer a total of one question in 4unit maths hsc exam. the only reason to this is bcoz me didnt study much. y i didnt is bcoz i already got accepted to uni and didnt really have to stress out in the HSC. i love UOW hehe and their early entry programs

i got accepted into 2 and one conditional for another....

the conditonal one is that i need ova 50 in avd eng to do bach. of info and communication technology in network systems

im expecting a shit mark, im not hoping for a good one in maths 4 unit lol

i dont know, i think u can apply from anywhere, u just have to come down for the interview then. there are courses available from the informatic and science facualties......

na it stopped its statistics at around 1999.
