How much does your assessment mark affect ATAR and final mark in that subject (1 Viewer)

If my average for english adv. in the internal assessment was say 76%, how would this affect my final mark and band in the subject. would it still be possible to get a band 6.
I'm asking for a friend who's been worried since she got back her english assessment task 1. She didn't do too well and is worried.
If you do abysmally in a test, could that affect your chance of getting a band 6.
Cos I know a girl who got 6/20 in one of her assessments and ended up with a band 6, and I know other people who did pretty good and did not get a band 6.
My history teacher also said a girl averaging in the 60s internally managed a band 5 because she blitzed her HSC final exam.

It's more dependant on your rank within your school and your schools rank rather than the actual mark itself.

It depends on your school's rank as well as the difficulty of each exam...
