If you could, answer in this format first:

1. Going out: eg. drinks/partying/clubbing
2. Necessities: eg. transport/food/petrol/rent
3. Shopping: eg. clothes/shoes/stuff that makes you feel good

-Just want to roughly know how much I'll need to be workin' + spending next year when I hit uni.

Thanks.

For me right now:

1. $20-50
2. $50
3. $100

I'm a fashionista if you ask :p

$70 petrol.
$110 weekly rent.
$50 - 70 for food.

The rest for saving for rego + going out. I usually end up with $20 max for going out XD. I live on bare minimum.

Food - $20/week, during the first semester- in excess of 40/week, now I learn to save..
Travel - $19/week travelpass
Sundries inc. games I'd buy during holidays - $10/week

I don't go out weekly, I try to cap at $30 per going out.

Last session (very rough estimates):

Rent: $140
Food/Household: <$30
Doing stuff: $15

You learn to save. It should come naturally to you when you have nothing to spend. :)

Lol. $50 is the minimum for food when you're living in a place that has the second most expensive Woolworths in the country...

1 - $0 (don't go out that much coz I don't have any $$ to spend :( )
2 - $20 rent pw, $30 train pass pw, $30 petrol pw
3 - $20 if I have had only one day at uni that week and hence have $ left over from the budgeted amount

I get Youth Allowance but travel costs suck it all up.

An Engineer student might find it hard to understand that Non-Engineers like to have fresh, nice clothes, and other nice things. Not all of us like to live in the New Balance sewers that you and your pals inhabit.
