2x 120GB Seagate Barracudda IV's 7200rpm 2MB cache
(Couldn't afford the 8MB ones at the time)

Disk #1 partitioned into 10GB and 102GB
Disk #2 kept at full capacity (111GB)

I'm hoping to get another 120GB by the end of the year, (Storage 3), but this time I'll re-format and have an 8MB cache on C:

They'll be a lot of data transfer and moving around/partitioning/formatting.

:)

I know exactly what you mean Ryan.

I listen to about 5 albums, but the other 30-40GB (not on my machine, I store all my mp3's on another box since I'm lazy to sort/store files into too many directories on my own comp LOL) are useless to me.

I leave movies etc on my computer for a while, about 2 weeks until I remove them (watch, delete, or just plain old delete if I don't have the time to watch anything - which is often the case).

I would probably listen to 30 songs, on shuffle/repeat.

I have my mp3's "just in case" someone asks for a particular album or mp3, LOL. :p

Currently listening to Dido's new album (Life For Rent)
:)

I need to break that 0.6 - 0.7TB barrier.

My mate has about 0.44TB
...thinks he's king **** LOL.

1x 80GB
3x 120GB

I'm just hoping to get around 0.3TB

Maybe if the prices weren't so expensive!
(2MB cache vs 8MB cache)

80GB vs 120 vs 200GB+ disks.

After the HSC, things will be better though. :)

Imagine... 1000GB (1 terabyte) in a single machine (1x DVD+-RW, or 1x CD-RW, the rest are physical hard disks, cutting down on optical disks (ie DVD-ROMs, CD-ROMs, when you can bundle the lot into a DVD+-RW or high-speed CD-RW combo drive, with DVD-ROM))

:p

I better go shower/study now :)

i reckon eh?

prices nowadays....

anything over 120Gb and the premium is massive.
and as huy said, it's about a $20-30 differeence between 2Mb and 8Mb cache.

I'm buying at 120Gb just for my 'downloads'

wouldn't mind one of those portable 300Gb cases...

hahha, but a few terabytes would last me forever....

what would u do with 10TB?
