i just wanted to know, coz i'm really getting annoyed at this problem...i mean, i just left a yahoo e-mail account of mine unchecked for 2 days and there had already been like 600+ spam e-mails. :mad1:

so yeah, on average i get like 100 spam e-mails per day...so what abt. for u guys?? :eek:

I don't get any spam on my hotmail either, except once in a month i get a virus email which gets blocked.

I get none as well, hmm maybe the fact that of my 3 accounts, one was opened yesterday and is paid for by the gvt, one of my hotmail ones has alot of characters and another is at geeklife.com

yeah, same as the yahoo spam filters- but the bad thing is that spam counts towards ya mailbox storage limit- hence i need to check the account once every 2 days to clear it up, if not my account would bcome clogged, and i wouldn't b able to get legit e-mails anymore. :(

About 5 a day.

Hotmail! I used to receive much more than that, and the annoying thing is some mailing lists i can't subscribe off because it goes to an error page. :(

actually, ur not meant to press on the "unsubscribe" link from any spam e-mails- coz that will tell the spammer that ya e-mail account is active. :p

i get none as well. ive got hotmail and dont use any filters or anything. i dont know why but. ive had the same email adress for maybe 4 yrs and i use it pretty often.

lolz, i can't believe that u guys get no spam at all....coz i heard that 50% of e-mails that are being sent are spam...so how come u guys never seem to get any....maybe its just me. :mad1:

You're right, about 52% of emails on the net is spam. You need to be conscious of who you give your email to.

If you make posts in newsgroups with your real email address, rest assured by the end of the week you'll be getting spammed.

Considering I probably only get one email a week my 0 spam doesnt really matter towards the 52% thing.
