Lol, I only bothered studying maths because I wanted to get into 4 unit, and then I'd study during exams... I didn't do anything daily. Still got a 99 estimate =) Now I do 4-6 a day.

Prelim kids tell year 10's not to worry too much. HSC kids tell Prelim kids not to worry too much. Uni kids tell HSC people not to worry too much.

Sensing a pattern here...

Meh I think the rule is make sure you get into your year 12 extensions like e2 or mx2 or language, and relax about everything else

Lol we learnt basically the same crap from years 7-10 imo. Then in year 11 BAM!

True.

But having said this these earlier years are good for experimenting what study techniques do or don't for you. If you aren't cramming the night before...

In hindsight, I studied way too much for Year 11 and not enough for Year 12 - even though I still got a good result. The key is balance - don't burn out, don't get lazy.

You would be surprised how much content actually makes it way from Prelim to Year 12 - for example, you could do terribly in Year 11 Ancient, and still get great results in Year 12 (because the content is completely unrelated); but it would be very difficult to improve in Year 12 Economics without grasping the foundations of Year 11.

I just kept up with homework in Prelim, and did some study-perhaps around 1-2 hours a night.

The thing is, people say things like studying is terribly boring. I study 1-2 hours a day because it is enjoyable and I have enough time for it in prelims.

for me, i barely studied at all, only for two weeks prior to the exam week. as weird as it seems, just relax in year 11, the year 12 syllabus is the one you gotta get right
