How much will my rank in extension 2 affect my ATAR? (1 Viewer)

I have almost secured rank 1 in mx1, chemistry and physics. For english the trials will determine if I get rank 1. I am =1 right now.

For extension 2 maths I am rank 2 at the moment with 7 percent separating me from the guy coming first.
The guy coming first isn't good at maths, he is just extremely careful and makes no silly mistakes but has never done the last question in the paper and I am alway the only one who does the last questions but I made a lot of silly mistakes...
I am trying to get my teacher to make the exams harder but he says it isn't fair for the other kids.
I have assessment 3 in about a month and then the trials so I have 65% left.
I started studying now, doing heaps of past paper and trying to minimise silly mistakes under pressure.
If for some reason I don't get rank 1 and I get rank 2 will that have a large impact on my atar? I am sure I will out perform the guy coming first right now in the externals but the guy coming last is extremely bad, he got 48%, everyone else is decent.

I know know what your going through right now, as long as you get a top marks, forget about the students that exist in your class.

I believe you can get 99.95, if you doing well in maths, then also spend some time on your weak subjects- hopefully this will push your Atar.
