I have a clash on two days for the same subjects that I can't do anything about, that has arisen because I'm mixing years as I'm a mature age student.

INFO2820 is my priority, how do I ensure the lectures are recorded for INFO1903?

I looked into dropping down to INFO1103 but that would clash with the pracs for INFO2820 on both days, so that's even worse, plus because it's not the advanced subject I have to take on another unit to meet my pre-req quota. So definitely a no go there.

They're not going to record them. It's School of IT. You'll just have to catch up in your own time (read slides).

INFO2820 had pracs? It was just tutorials on predicate logic which is not assessed. OP is a retard.

Damn. I'll pay someone to record them then or beg the lecturer to do it.

Why not just get lecture notes off someone? Why bother recording.

If you need to attend lectures to understand the content in IT subjects you shouldn't be doing IT. It's all in the fucking slides you nonce, and if you need clarification you use the textbook or Google.

I need HDs, so I can't take that chance. Also, they're advanced subjects so they'll be marked extra hard.

And I need to impress the lecturers so I can improve my chances for tutoring jobs and scholarships.

I did INFO1903 last year and I'm doing INFO2820 this semester. I'm actually going to be a mentor in at least one of the INFO1903 labs this semester.

The lecturers do an extremely good job in preparing detailed lecture notes so you can probably afford to miss the Monday lecture. The only thing which is really useful is that James Curran does a lot of live Python demos during the lecture. But he tends to confine that to one of the three lectures per week. When I did INFO1903, Wednesdays were the "Python days" so if he continues that trend, then you'll be fine.

Talk to the lecturers before semester starts (or after the first lecture at latest) and they'll try to work something out for you.
