Did anyone else have this feeling, where although you like the subject, the teacher/something else just makes you not want to go?

See, for biology I have the worst teacher (in my opinion). This is because:

1) He rushes us through the work, we never actually get a chance to stop and think about what we are writing.
2) We copy off the board (projecter) 90% of the time and the writing is too small to see unless you're right at the front, and everyone else has taken those spots so I and others often delay in writing it all down (it doesn't help that he pressures us to hurry up).
3) He is too strict. He always says if we don't understand something, don't come asking him about it because he has already explained it. "Figure it out for yourself".
4) He gives stacks of homework every lesson - sometimes I feel like he is giving us assignments.

Plus, I'm a rather shy person and he knows that (I've had him for over 1 year). Despite this I feel like sometimes he constantly picks me to answer questions in front of the class and it just annoys me because I get so nervous and he knows that (in the parent teacher interview he said to my dad I am very shy and never talk).

So I fear to go to biology now because:

1) I am terrified that he will pick me to answer something and I won't have the answer
2) I just don't feel I'm learning from him, he is not teaching, but merely setting out work with no proper explanation.

Does anyone else feel like this? How can you stop feeling scared to go to a class? It effects my studying because when I try to study all I can think of is the negative things and it makes me feel stressed.

My Chemistry teacher is pretty bad, in a different way though. He never writes ANYTHING on the board, it's just 1 hour 15 minutes of him not shutting up about whatever we're doing that lesson, when I need to see writing to understand it properly since that's just the way my brain is... studying for Chem also makes me feel like crap. So I hear you. I get the shyness thing too, I'm pretty shy too and find it hard to talk to my teachers unless I feel I can trust them (like my English and Music teachers, who are both awesome).
