For the upcoming trials - can anyone give me any tips on just how I should be reading my notes in order to remember them?

Read, cover, remember, repeat, check.

Or you can right it out alot and pretty much print it in your mind

My english teacher told us that last year a few students did that to remember there creative writings and apprantly it works quite well

I find making a recording is to hard to get good quality.

Yes, that's another issue too.

OP, you could try highlighting, mindmapping what you remember and teaching someone else your notes. There's plenty of ways to approach this.

I've tried it, doesn't work, plus is major annoying.

Sleeping with your book under your head works however
