Yeah basically for maths to state rank you need full marks :p so practice practice practice, understand the concepts and hope you don't make mistakes on the day

You will probably need to also be ranked internally first :p

good luck :)

tips or help anyone?
what marks are needed
For 2U and 3U, you only need to do the past HSC and commercial papers (don't bother at all with school papers unless its early in the year). Then it comes down to efficiency, speed and accuracy during the exam.
In 2U you need to have great enough speed for you to properly complete the paper twice in the 3 hours.

In 3U finish the paper, redo all the non-proof questions, hope you don't miss anything.

For 4U you need to become better at problem solving, start engaging questions from a more problem solving point of view rather than another set of mechanical questions you do in exercises.
You of course still need to retain speed by practising.

So overall to state rank 2U/3U silly mistakes should be emphasised, and in 4U problem solving skills should be emphasised as well as accuracy.

Don't waste time with horrendous school papers.
