I used this as a 'filler subject' mostly cos I like science and wanted to use it as an extension on top of Biology. The subject itself is super easy (I got a band 6) but it scales mid or horribly depending on what mark u get. The way this subject is designed enables ppl to tailor it however way they want, so I studied it same way I did bio in terms of doing past papers etc.
As for the specific course content, all I did was make a google doc which I consistently updated and revised throughout the term that included all the modules (it ended up being like 120 pages). When it came closer to exams, I used that big doc as a resource as well as youtube videos and class resources to make a small doc specific to the topics being assessed in that task (ended up being around 20 to 30 pages).
Investigating science is also a subject that relies on remembering certain facts, figures and concepts. I memorised my stuff by 1. doing A LOT of past papers - look up 'thsc' for other school papers. 2. making my own notes- don't rely on other peoples notes. as you write stuff down, your commiting it to your own memory. 3. My personal study technique- using palm cards. write important points on palm cards and read.
The subject is pretty easy to do well in. Just make sure you can maintain a high grade since the scaling is bumcheeks
